For the past 10 years the Rising Sun Reiki Studio has been the premier center for local Reiki classes. We've trained over 500 students in the art of Usui Reiki Ryoho energy healing.  The Rising Sun Reiki Studio offers a complete program of Reiki training near the Twin Cities.

The Rising Sun Reiki Studio offers local Reiki training for levels I, II, III, and IV.  Level I begins with the fundamentals of Reiki including the history, philosophy, and basic techniques.  Level II introduces some of the tools in the form of Reiki symbols and their meanings, along with the method of Distant Healing.  Each student is able to practice on self and others as soon as level I is completed.  Earning the level II certification allows the student to charge for their services. Level III begins to focus on the internal transformation of the Reiki practitioner by learning Reiki self-cleansing and self-growth.  Completing level III earns the title of Reiki Master.  The Rising Sun Reiki Studio also offers a Level IV or Master Teacher one-on-one apprenticeship that gives the student the skills and experience to teach the healing art of Reiki.

The practice of Reiki has evolved over the years.  The Rising Sun Reiki Studio follows the practice of Usui Ryoho Reiki.  Our training is consistent with the style of Reiki taught by both Hayashi and Takata, while at the same time honoring the changes that have evolved because of the Western influence. At the Rising Sun Reiki Studio, we practice the ancient art of passing attunements from the teacher to the student.  It is the attunement that makes Reiki unique from all other hands-on healing modalities.

Each Reiki level can be completed in one day of training, and we keep our classes small with a limit of only six students per class.  We believe that promoting smaller class sizes ensures that the space feels safe and comfortable, while providing each student with the opportunity to be an integral member of each class.  We believe that our local Reiki courses are unique because of our hands-on, intimate approach.

NOTE: All prior levels of Reiki Training must be completed before beginning the next level of training. For your convenience, we offer a two-day combination training course for Levels I & II.

Reiki Level 1

Learn the fundamentals of Reiki including its origins, philosophy, and the basic techniques of Reiki healing abilities. 

Reiki Level 2 

Take a deeper dive into Reiki and experience powerful and more diverse healing results including distant healing. 

Reiki Level 3

Focus on the internal transformation through instruction in self-growth and self-purification techniques.  ​

Master Teacher

This is training and an apprenticeship for those who wish to become teachers. The apprenticeship is offered on a complete or continued basis, for up to one year.  It includes 9 hours of instruction, 12 hours of classroom apprenticeship, 20 hours of one-on-one Reiki, and the organization and hosting of one Reiki Share. Upon completion the Master Teacher will be accomplished in training Reiki students and performing attunements.
